It’s time to unleash your inner artist and get inspired to create a masterpiece of your own (or maybe just get motivated to take a few art classes so your stick figure drawings begin to look a little more like people and less like twigs). Fortunately, we are surrounded by art in a plethora of shapes and forms, world-class museums, and galleries to fit every taste. Set aside a full day or a few hours to explore the vibrancy of Cleveland’s art scene and be ready to be amazed. Let the adventure begin!
The Cleveland Museum of Art
11150 East Blvd.
Free General Admission (some special exhibits may charge a fee)
Quarantine can’t stop art from touching our lives. Enjoy The Cleveland Museum of Art from the comfort of your sofa! CMA is offering videos curated by the staff, access to the entire collection of over 61,000 objects which can be searched and viewed as high-resolution images, and weekly activities and challenges to get you sketching or even reimagining a CMA work of art by using only household items. Art, in any form, is best when shared with others; CMA is rising to the challenge even when necessity dictates we stay at home.
(Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, the Museum is temporarily closed. As restrictions are lifted, be sure to call or check the website for updated hours, cancellations of events, and general precautions when visitors are allowed back.)
