It’s no secret that Ohio’s summer warmth starts to wither as fall approaches, and temperatures usually drop to the 40’s in early October. Before that cool down in September sets in, the summer heat is still very much right outside our door. Spending the day relaxing on one of Lake Erie’s islands or beaches, or simply swaying with the rhythm that continues to fill Ohio City’s streets will remind you that although all schools begin before August’s end, summer is far from over. As the season’s blend, this is a time to take in just how much forward progress is building as our city’s pride is exemplified in every part of town.
We know reinventing our unique place within Cleveland’s comeback has been simple as our neighborhood’s locals continue to shape our diverse “City of Ohio”. The Ohio City Merchants Association organized the summer concert series, Ohio City Stages, as ‘Part One’ of events to give our area’s musicians a place to shine, and give our residents a chance to ‘get lost’ and ‘drift away’. This month, Wednesdays on the Square, will bring the beat back for a family friendly ‘Part Two’ at Market Square Park on the corner of West 25th street and Lorain Road. From 6 – 9 pm, artists, local food trucks, and our community will celebrate the season to relax and renew before we head into our holidays.
Unwind with a unique beverage at one of our local brewery’s, venture out to enjoy the “second most walkable neighborhood in Cleveland” (preceded only by downtown), or check out our local performing arts scene. Whether you are making camping plans to enjoy that last summer getaway and experience one of Ohio’s beautiful waterfalls, or just want to enjoy home in your luxurious space, it’s easy to remember why you’re lucky to be… a Clevelander.
