Nothing evokes the beginning of the winter season more than iceskating! The fresh, crisp, cold air whipping across your face as you whisk across the slick ice invigorates the body and refreshes the soul.
The ice rink at Wade Oval is open to skaters of all ages and levels now through March 8, 2015. It costs $2 per person to skate. Don’t own a pair of skates? No problem! At 3 bucks a pop, renting a pair of skates is cheaper than a cup of joe at your local corporate coffee joint! Student prices are even better! Only a buck to skate, and $2 per rental equals fun on the super cheap! Newbies can learn to skate for free every Saturday at noon.
On December 17, 2014 from 6pm-8pm the Tony Koussa Holiday Band will provide live music for your time out on the ice with a performance that is sure to set the atmosphere! Another special event that kids from 1 to 92 won’t want to miss is “Skate with Santa” on December 21, 2014!
So what are you waiting for? Bundle up and head down to Wade Oval Winter in University Circle!
